Atma Namaste,
Welcome to Pranic Lore's October edition - the month when Christmas decorations creep into shopfronts, everyone becomes an expert on horses and we hold our penultimate full moon meditation.
We've just finished three consecutive months of teaching and warmly congratulate all graduates. Limited space is still available in most of the upcoming courses to be held by the Ashish Institute for Inner Studies, and we urge you to secure your place now.
In this newsletter, we're featuring new photos of the clinic - which is coming along quite swimmingly (literally at times given the rain), a spotlight on Turkey Bush essence, life-affirming words from Walt Whitman and a life-affirming book by Eckhart Tolle.
Hope you enjoy!

There have been a few minor delays with the construction of the clinic, but as you can see above we’re almost back to full-steam ahead. Here we have the storage unit being dressed in its COLORBOND panels and some shots of what will soon be the finished interior.

Turkey Bush
Turkey Bush essence removes creative blocks and assists us in tuning into the ingenuity of our Higher Selves. It is especially beneficial to those suffering from a lack of inspiration and faith in their abilities.
While particularly valuable to artists, this essence is not limited to those in creative fields. If we consider every thought, word and deed to be an act of creation (in that we’re bringing something into the world), then we see how the properties of Turkey Bush essence can enhance our day-to-day lives.

Walt Whitman (1819 – 1892) is considered by many to be America’s greatest poet. The final edition of his masterpiece, Leaves of Grass, contains nearly 400 poems written over a period of forty-odd years. Determined to reach and uplift the ‘everyman’, Whitman’s free verse is, for the most, a celebration of brotherhood and a hymn to living.
‘O Me! O Life!’ is a typically straightforward Whitman poem. I’m sure all of us at some time have identified with the nihilistic lamentations of the first stanza and lost sight of the grandeur of being. That lucid last line, ‘That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse’, arrives as both consoler and motivator.
Although at times it can feel as if our struggles are ‘ever renew’d’, Whitman reminds us of the enormity and nobility of all life; of the great, all-encompassing ‘play’, and how fortunate we are to be among the players.

A New Earth - Eckhart Tolle
A New Earth is one of the most spiritually influential books of our time. While a few dissenting voices find its teachings to be little more than a rehash or synthesis of Eastern ideologies, the overwhelming majority of readers find Eckhart Tolle’s practical and powerful approach to ‘Being’ deeply affecting.
To avoid inadvertently diluting or misconstruing any of the messages, I won’t attempt to summarise the text in great detail. However, in broadest terms, A New Earth addresses the evolution of human consciousness and explains how every moment (this moment in particular) is an opportunity for transcendence. In gentle, succinct and comprehensible language, Tolle extols the virtues of ‘Presence’ and shows us how to reconnect with an inherent state of stillness.
