Atma Namaste,
Welcome to the August edition of the Pranic Lore e-newsletter.
Since the last issue we have held both Basic & Advanced Courses. The enthusiasm and excitement of new students was so infectious, and it's always so wonderful to watch people discover the power at their fingertips! Additional Basic & Advanced Courses will be held in the coming months. Stay tuned for updates.
This month we have a little background about the upcoming Foundation Day (August 12th), photos of the new super-comfy treatment chair, a spotlight on 'Dog Rose of the Wild Forces', a few lines from William Blake and some recommended reading.
Hope you enjoy!
Love & Light,
Kerrie-Ann Kraal www.praniclore.com.au

The celebration of the birth of our Guruji, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, is known as Foundation Day. On Friday 12th August, we will be honouring our great teacher at a special full moon meditation.
The birth dates of great beings directly inform us of their purpose in this incarnation. GMCKS' was to spread the light of Pranic and Arhatic Yoga throughout the world. He authored many books now translated into many languages, and spent more than 300 days of a year travelling and teaching.

Though he left his body on 19th March 2007, his teachings live on within us. His presence, free of the shackles of the corporeal, is now even greater.
All are welcome to attend this celebration, held at North Blackburn Hall (click for map) at 7.30pm. Please bring a plate of pure vegetarian food and/or a non-alcoholic beverage.

This Le Corbusier Chaise Lounge was recently delivered to Pranic Lore, and we can't wait to see it in the centre of the new clinic. In these photos, my lovely mother Mary is demonstrating two of the reclining positions. Apart from its good looks, the lounge offers incredible support and comfort. We're looking forward to seeing it filled with lots and lots of clients over the coming months!

Dog Rose of the Wild Forces
The essence of this plant rebalances the emotional equilibrium of the individual.
Primarily, it is prescribed to correct a profound fear of losing control that may manifest as suppression. The essence is also of great benefit in fostering calmness and clarity of mind during times of turbulence.
Dog Rose of the Wild Forces is particularly effective (either alone or in conjunction with other essences) when taken to support Pranic Cellular Healing.

William Blake was an iconoclast, a visionary and an artist of otherworldly talent. On the one hand, much of his poetry celebrates the Divine in the everyday, in the individual and in the natural world. On the other, it condemns the systems that he believes exist to repress natural impulses (which he regarded as manifestations of the Divine). The church, the ruling class and the Enlightenment were chief among the institutions Blake considered inherently corrupt.
The lines above are taken from 'The Marriage of Heaven and Hell' and 'Auguries of Innocence'. In them, Blake asks us to open ourselves to the world (and to God) in a way that transcends ordinary perception; to regard the divine and beautiful in the mighty and the minute.
As these are extracts of much larger works, there's not much more I can add by way of commentary. However, even in isolation, I'm sure that they'll resonate with everyone attuned to the metaphysical.

Light is Like Water by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
This month, I thought I’d try something different and recommend a read not related directly to Pranic.
Light is Like Water is a very short story by Nobel prize winning author, Gabriel Garcia Marquez (that's him there). You can read it online here.
I suppose what made me consider it worth bringing to your attention (beyond it being effortlessly graceful and evidence of an extraordinary imagination at play) is the idea of liquid light. Those of us who regularly practice Twin Hearts with Self-Healing will be familiar with this concept.
Marquez's story could be read in a number of ways, but I would suggest just letting it gently wash over you. For mine, it's wonderful.
